The Jack Rabbit Foundation’s mission is to provide support to surviving U.S. Military children and spouses who have lost a loved one as a result of a deployment or a disabled parent or spouse who was injured as a result of a deployment.
Our job is to provide support to help military families overcome the tragedy that has struck home. In doing so we want to maintain focus on various things such:
Emotional stability: Our focus is that through education such as scholarships and assistance our children and spouses can continue to move forward and maintain a healthy physical wellbeing.
Channeling grief: Children and spouses may have never experience such a traumatic tragedy such as the loss of a loved one and expressing themselves may prove difficult. Activities such as youth camps can create a bond between players, children, and parents that can help lessen the grief.
Keeping those loved ones alive: Many will never know the names of those loved ones that have passed but we want to keep those loved ones alive through activities. Game tickets will be given out in honor of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Many of those fallen heroes will be honored during pregame shows.
