Born on October 29, 1988 in Pahokee, Florida, Janoris Jenkins plays cornerback for the New York Giants of the National Football League.
Janoris Jenkins played college football for the University of North Alabama and University of Florida. During his college career, Jenkins was named First-team All-SEC in 2010, and won SEC and BCS championships both in 2008.
Janoris Jenkins was selected 39th overall in the 2nd round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the then St. Louis Rams, who he played for during the first four years of his young, bright NFL career. In his rookie season, Jenkins won the Rams’ Carroll Rosenbloom Memorial Award, tying an NFL rookie record with 3 interceptions returned for touchdowns. In 2014, Jenkins finished the season with 55 tackles and 2 interceptions, both returned for touchdowns. This excellent season resulted in Jenkins being named a 2015 Pro Bowl Alternate at cornerback.
In 2016 he joined the New York Giants as a Free Agent. That season he recorded 49 tackles, one sack and 3 interceptions
